This was the last mold I ‘worked’ on. All that needed to be done was just look this guy over and repack him, but this fish was too cool not to include pictures!
The silicone mold you see here is unfortunately a little out of order. It’s made of tin-cured silicone, which has a shelf life of about 5 - 7 years (so I’m told); the age of this silicone mold is probably over 15 years. But the plaster fill was made just recently, so we’re thinking this mold is suitable for long-term storage.

Though it’s not specified, this a model of a baby coelacanth! The fin size compared to the body matches that of the real baby coelacanth whose picture was captured by Japanese scientists. This is really expensive, but knowing that it exists is so cool!
